SONIC RETOLD - Issue 1 cover

After the main cover, we have the cover to the first issue of the comic. Two for the price of one!

This cover was made pretty late because, to be honest, I wasn't sure what to draw. I didn't want a money shot of Team Fighters because it might undermine the subdued silhouettes in the intro page. Besides, you got enough character exposition in main cover already. I preferred to take a more subtle approach, so I opted to draw the remains of their crash landing at Albion. This also serves a narrative purpose, because it tells readers when this takes place in Endangered Species. I'm not starting from the beginning of Sonic #243 with the aerial battle with Metal Knuckles, but rather some time during the aftermath. I like this cover because I think it conveys enough of Team Fighters' presence without actually showing them on page.
